LTD2532 is a 24-bit resolution, high-performance, low-distortion dual-channel Σ-Δ ADC designed for the high-end weighing market. Addressing the pain points of existing products in this segment, LTD2532 offers better noise performance and dynamic response at lower power consumption, solving the issue of insufficient effective bits under high sampling rates.


LTD2532 Product features

LTD2532 The device is internally integrated with a multiplexer, low-noise programmable gain amplifier, Δ-Σ modulator, and programmable digital filter. The device uses SPI communication protocol for interaction.

The programmable gain amplifier integrated in the device has the characteristics of high input impedance and low noise, which has significant advantages for the precision measurement of small signals. At the same time, its self-stabilized zero technology effectively reduces the offset voltage, offset voltage drift and 1/f noise to a minimum.

By default, the LTD2532 FIR digital filter combination can achieve data conversion rates from 250SPS to 4000 SPS, corresponding to a-3dB signal bandwidth of up to 1652Hz. Sinc filter mode enables faster sampling rates from 8kSPS to 128kSPS.

The device features synchronization capabilities, allowing external signals to trigger the data conversion actions of the ADC. Therefore, multiple devices can be synchronized for conversion using the same trigger signal. The shutdown pin minimizes power consumption and resets register settings. SPI compatibility enables parallel devices to share a common serial bus.

LTD2532 also supports system calibration of gain error and offset voltage. The device optimizes distortion performance, with typical integral nonlinearity performance up to ± 0.0001%FS.

The minimum application system of LTD2532 is shown in the figure. LTD2532 supports single power supply and positive and negative power supply. In order to achieve higher noise performance, the reference input can be provided by an external reference source.

LTD2532 Typical characteristics

Use the LTD2532 code example

During the use of LTD2532, the IDLE TONE issue can be effectively resolved by using OFFSET settings. After using OFFSET, the impact of OFFSET can be eliminated through an automatic correction mode. The following is a better code example for using LTD2532. The code provides the process of initializing LTD2532 and configuring offset registers as well as the offset auto-correction register; after correction, normal data reading begins. If necessary, gain correction can also be performed based on controlling external input signals.
